Ben has a stern, mean and cruel physics teacher, Mrs. ...。形形色色的人们——一名高中生、一位中年商人、黑帮头目等——都收到了三个月前在海难中逝去的亲人发来的神秘讯息。他们被指示当晚前往濑户内海的一座小岛。午夜钟声敲响时，那艘失踪的船只从海中浮现，逝者与生者得以短暂重逢，互诉最后的话语。而后亡者必须再度登船，随沉船永葬海底。。该剧讲述了一对因相爱而结合的夫妻，他们先是遭遇女方母亲的激烈反对，甚至以死相逼。随后，男方的母亲也百般刁难。当女方的母亲得知女儿的处境后，更是怒不可遏，于是双方母亲的冲突——婆妈大战就此展开。。
