该剧改编自电影《刀马旦》，以民国时期为背景，讲述了身份、地位不同的几个年轻人为革命事业奔波，并寻找到了属于自己爱情的故事。。众所瞩目的皇家世纪婚礼正在举行，当茉莉公主就要说出“我愿意”的承诺时，邪恶的卡辛和四十大盗居然为了找寻一件点石成金的至宝，而打断了婚礼的进行。在诙谐逗趣的精灵陪同下，阿拉丁的寻父之旅是否能化险为夷？他和茉莉公主好事多磨的婚礼，最后又能如愿以偿的盛大举行吗？。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
