同ドラマは水中の捜査に特化した架空の組織「DCU（Deep Crime Unit）」を舞台にしたオリジナルドラマ。ドラマの舞台となるのは、海上保安庁に新設されたDCUという水中事件や事故の捜査を行うスペシャリスト集団。DCUはDeep Crime Unit（潜水特殊捜査隊）の略称で、彼らの使命は、従来の海上水域だけでなく警察の捜査では困難な「危険極まりない日本全国の河川や湖」など、あらゆる水中に潜り隠された証拠を探し事件を解決する。“水中未解決事件を解明すること”が、彼らのミッションだ。。The series follows inquiry agent and criminologist Fredrika Bergman when she accepts a position at the Stockholm Police. She's recruited to their special investigation's unit, and is anything but welcomed by the department. However, her different background and exceptional talent gives her a unique perspective that repeatedly helps the unit solve their cases.。
