由中央广播电视总台央视纪录频道（CCTV-9）、法国国家电视集团（France Télévisions）、美国国家地理频道（National Geographic Channels）、澳大利亚民族电视台（SBS TV Australia）、美国广播公司（ABC）、法国GEDEON公司等机构联合摄制的纪录片《修复巴黎圣母院》，获得法国政府独家许可，记录下了这一拯救世界遗产的伟大工程。。二战结束后，曾在法国参加作战的印第安土著Jimmy Picard（本尼西奥·德尔·托罗 Benicio Del Toro 饰）住进了堪萨托皮卡军事医院。这家医院以专业医治脑病而著称。Jimmy Picard罹患多种疾病：眩晕、短暂失明、失去听觉……由于找不到任何器质性病变，医生将其诊断为精神分裂症。但医院仍然决定请法国专门研究北美印第安文化的人种学家及心理学家Georges Devereux（马修·阿马立克 Mathieu Amalric 饰）进行会诊。。A group of recent grads head out on a late night drive for grub, hoping to enjoy one final hangout before their paths diverge.
