水师提督顾长风奉朝廷之命带领西班牙舰队探访黑木崖，过程中西班牙领队欲打开东方不败的棺木与视东方不败为偶像的顾长风发生争执。正在此时黑木崖上忽然现身一怪人，可以掌接西班牙火枪子弹。顾长风被怪人所救，却身受内伤，坚信其便是东方不败，坚持要一见其真面目，虽死无憾。怪人一偿所愿，让其看自己的庐山真面目，正是当年风采依旧的东方不败。顾长风告诉东方不败江湖上有很多人正在冒充他的名号为非作歹，东方不败于是决定留其性命，让他看着自己重出江湖。与此同时，东方不败旧时爱妾雪千寻正率领着一群苗人打着东方不败的旗号与日本倭寇就海域问题谈判，雪千寻痴心不改，重组神教只是为了等待爱人归来……。将军麦克白（奥逊·威尔斯 Orson Welles 饰）跟随国王邓肯（Erskine Sanford 饰）南征北战，是后者最信赖的所在。某日，麦克白又赢得了一场战争，在归国的途中遇见了三个女巫，女巫们预言麦克白即将进官加爵，甚至可以带上王冠继承王位。然而，麦克白的继位者却并非他的孩子，而是他的好友班柯将军（Edgar Barrier 饰）的儿子。 这一预言在麦克白的内心里蒙上了阴影，在妻子麦克白夫人（Jeanette Nolan 饰）的怂恿之下，麦克白杀死了邓肯，将罪责家伙在两个守卫的身上。之后，他又将班柯和麦克德夫夫人（Peggy Webber 饰）一一杀害。在此过程中，双手沾满鲜血的麦克白，他的精神也濒临着崩溃的边缘。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
